Packing and Shipping

Historically, packing design within the Precision Engineering sector has concentrated primarily upon ensuring that the product arrives safely at its destination. To this end, a wide variety of basic materials have been used to pack delicate items including fibreboard, fabricated foams, rubberised hair and barrier materials. All have traditionally been used to satisfy the minimum requirements of DEF-STAN 81-41, ATA 300 and other commercial packing specifications. Today additional factors are becoming increasingly important; Protection with Presentation

In response to these factors we have developed new packaging systems, which can offer significant benefits and economies whilst exceeding the toughest packing specifications. After consideration of handling, fragility and climate, particular attention is focused on reducing packing cycle times and pack size, whilst significantly upgrading product presentation. Our product is precision moulded for faster loading, compact and stackable for easy handling, whilst minimising storage space and freight charges. We are also able to support corporate identity with an embossed company logo and product colour coding for clear identification. A smooth surface finish and shock resistance in a non-toxic, non-staining moulding maintains product quality.

Our in house technical team have considerable experience in designing protective packs for critical items. Engineering facilities include mould tool manufacture and prototype fabrication; the latter being used during the initial stages of product development.
